Pressure transmitter for refrigerant applications Type 560

The new pressure transmitter Type 560 is based on proven stainless steel sensor technology and is ideally suited for a wide range of applications involving refrigerants and media classified under safety classes A2L and A3.

It is characterized by its hermetically sealed construction, ensuring outstanding performance and safety. This feature makes it particularly suitable for applications where safety in handling flammable refrigerants is of utmost importance. Thanks to its selection of pressure connections, it can be optimally integrated into a widerange of applications. Particularly noteworthy is the variant with the copper soldering tube, allowing direct integration into the piping system of refrigerant applications.

To visually mark and easily identify different pressure areas in the application, the connector is available in two colors

Highest safety with combustible refrigerants

  • Hermetically welded construction without elastomer seal
Ensuring reliability and resistance to the requirements of different media
  • 100% leak test with helium during manufacture
Comprehensive leak testing is carried out during the production process to ensure quality and compliance with DIN EN ISO 14903:2017-12
  • Surface temperature in proper operating and fault conditions, evaluated according to DIN EN 60335-2-40
This ensures in the final application that the sensor does not pose a potential ignition source
  • Reduction of installation-related signal offset thanks to force-decoupled measuring element
The design minimizes interference during assembly, increasing the accuracy and reliability of the pressure transmitter

Connection-safe copper soldering tube

The variant with copper soldering tube can be soldered directly into the pipe system of refrigerant applications, e.g. heat pumps.

The factory hermetic welding of the copper tube to the steel body of the sensor ensures a first-class solder joint quality. This helps to improve system reliability and optimises assembly productivity by reducing soldering time.

Surface temperature evaluated according to DIN EN 60335-2-40

When using a flammable refrigerant, DIN EN 60335-2-40 requires that electrical components that could potentially come into contact with escaping flammable refrigerant must not be a source of ignition. According to DIN EN 60335-2-40, this is guaranteed by ensuring that the surface temperature of the electrical component does not exceed the self-ignition temperature of the refrigerant, minus 100 K, either during operation or in the event of an individual fault.
The surface temperature of the pressure transmitter Type 560 during normal or faulty operation strongly depends on the supplied electrical power. In accordance with DIN EN 60335-2-40, the surface temperatures of the 560 sensor for a wide supply power range are plotted in the following diagrams. This ensures that our pressure transmitter does not represent a potential source of ignition in conjunction with the selected supply capacity and the refrigerant used.
By means of a manufacturer's declaration, Huba Control certifies that the surface temperatures of the pressure transmitter Type 560 have been determined in accordance with DIN EN 60335-2-40 in the case of operation and individual faults.
The manufacturer's declaration is available on request.
