what is the difference?

Level sensing sensor and pressure level transmitter – what is the difference?
A level transmitter is a special version of a pressure sensor in order to measure levels in tanks, fountains, chambers and boreholes.
To reach a most precise measurement the transmitter is placed directly in the liquid and as near as possible to the bottom.
The transmitter measures the hydrostatic pressure inside the liquid which is the same in each direction. Herewith the level of the liquid remaining in the receptacle can be detected.
The main quality features of the transmitter are tightness, stability and variability which offers the use in manifold applications.
But, where is now the difference between the level sensing sensor and pressure level transmitter?
There is no difference! The two expressions are just used as a synonym. One or the other is used more and many other expressions could be added still having the same meaning.
The pressure level transmitters of Huba Control AG are available with drinking water as well as shipbuilding certification and with EX protection.
